From October 25 through 27, 2023, ASCEE, as a COMSOL Certified Consultant, participated in the COMSOL Conference in Munich. In addition to meeting with visitors at our booth, Dr. Anne de Jong, M.Eng., gave a presentation on computational acceleration in thermoviscous microacoustics. We also shared our experiences with coupled multiphysics.
COMSOL is hosting its annual conference from October 25 through 27. This year, ASCEE will be represented by Anne.
Anne will chair a session on acoustic simulation. She will also give a presentation on her work: “Faster thermoviscous acoustic simulations for microacoustics” (Faster Thermoviscous Acoustic Simulations for Micro-Acoustics).

ASCEE releases version 0.8 of the ACME acoustic measurement platform. This update speeds up analyses for the µZ system by up to three times by saving the Cross Power Spectrum in real time during the test. New features such as automatic signal processing and direct calibration to the DAQ streamline the daily workflow in the laboratory.
ASCEE is launching the new µZ-20 impedance tube for characterizing small meshes and vents for hearables. Without switching microphones, the system measures a wide range from 20 Hz to 8 kHz in a single measurement. This allows engineers to determine the series impedance of small components up to 4,000 MKS Rayls.
